Nursery Schools

What's the difference between nursery and preschool? Preschools usually work around a formal curriculum and trained teachers - making them a little more expensive! Nursery schools are usually a more relaxed learning environment and more flexible enrollment terms. They are also cheaper and vary greatly.

What age is a preschooler? Ages up to 4 is considered preschooler with toddlers are 1 to 3 year old bracket. Basically 4-year-old are not 'toddling' around any more and so are no longer toddlers!

What does preschool mean?

Is Pre K considered preschool?

Townsend Montessori @ Maidstone

College Rd, Maidstone ME15 6ND, UK – 01622 765817

Super Excellent. Home away from home. Every child deserves a good nursery when they are away from home. Townsend Montessori Maidstone is the answer. They are brilliant , loving , caring and gentle with every child. I wish i could give them more than 5 Stars. They are sure the best.

They were so good in helping my lb to adjust and settle in gently (and me!!). It's such a huge step leaving your child with someone they and you don't know, but it wasn't long before he trusted his key worker and was looking forward to go play with all the staff and his new friends. I particularly liked their gentle approach with lots of cuddles during those first few weeks of separation to ensure he was reassured. The staff are always willing to fill you in on your child's day and build genuine friendships with the kids with lots of messy play and other fun activities.

Secondary Schools

Maidstone Grammar School

Barton Rd, Maidstone ME15 7BT, UK – 01622 752101

Really nice place to send your kids. Although very professional - they could do with being a little bit more strict with the children and desciplene them better.

This is how a school should be. The structure is traditional and the pupils well dressed and polite

Valley Park School

Huntsman Ln, Maidstone ME14 5DT, UK – 01622 679421

An alright school and very good when compared to other secondary schools in Kent. Only issue is the iPad techs are not the greatest at helping the students and the staff aren't the best. They don't have enough staff which is causing some departments to drop. However, a big school with amazing facilities such as the farm and the football pitches.

Best secondary school in Maidstone better then maplesden and all the rest hopefully be there next year I’m at maplesden now and it’s so bad I have high hopes. πŸ˜ƒ

St. Simon Stock Catholic School

Oakwood Park, Maidstone ME16 0JP, UK – 01622 754551

My child attends this school and there is not a day after school that she will not have a smile on her face. All of the kids there are so kind and they are a big family type school that will make you feel so comfortable and welcome. On my child's first day she had to go to a lesson and she didn't know where to go, a older year child saw her and looked at her timetable and showed her where to go , being late for their class. If children cannot do their homework at their home there is a homework club after school where there are computers so they can do their homework. All the teachers are so kind and lovely , nothing is a problem for them and there are always on hand to help. There are some lovely trips like at the end of the school year my year 7(2016) is going to France Dover castle and Hurstmonceux. Overall this school is one of the best in this country with a "outstanding" Ofsted reveiw (2016) and in the top 10 best gcse scores out of the country. I would HIGHLY recommend this school .

I love it its so near to my school st francis
