Cinemas around Maidstone

Odeon Cinema Maidstone

Barker Rd, Lockmeadow, Maidstone ME16 8RG, UK – 0333 014 4501

Cinema has 8 screens so lots of showing at different times. They also have special screenings available, some autism friendly, kids Cinema, silver screen for the older generation where you're given a cup of tea etc too. There are plastic booster seats provided in every screen free of charge, you just pick one up as you walk into your screen. You can book online or just arrive, obviously for popular films it's probably worth booking. There are toilets on site, I've always found them clean. The food and drink although pricey is available if you wanted that too. For 3D films the glasses are £1 and they on they are yours so next time you don't need to buy them. No hiring etc.... So much easier. You can ask for premier seating which is at the back of the cinema screens for those needing extra space for whatever reason, the extra leg room is great and the chairs are a bit more comfortable too. The staff have always been really friendly and helpful, always chatty and smile too so it's a great place to go for every occasion really. I would definitely recommend. I don't go anywhere else to see a film.

Always had the newest releases, with a few classic on now and again. The seats have been updated and even the standard ones are comfortable for about 2.5 hours. Staff do regularly patrol the screens looking for rowdy people (although I've only experienced this once). The print off your pre-booked tickets is a great addition and works well with two points to do this. The front desk is usually manned and all the staff are very polite. As you know cinema snacks are expensive but this is the way of all cinemas.

Theatres for Maidstone

Hazlitt Arts Centre

36 Earl St, Maidstone ME14 1PP, UK – 01622 758611

Just been to see.. Jackson Live in Concert.. tribute band & it was brilliant. I much prefer going to smaller venues & the Hazlitt Theatre is not too far away so lucky me. They have such a variety of different shows.. comedy.. panto.. music.. etc so it's a venue I like to book often. The seats are comfortable & no matter where you sit the view is good.

Nice place, but gets so hot in the summer. There is no air con or fans in the main seating area. Up the top it's like an oven.

Maidstone Panto

Unit 30, Integra Me Estate, Bircholt Road, Maidstone ME15 9GQ, UK – 0800 999 7755

Great fun!! Fab cast, lots of giggles. Chris & Wes were awesome.... Really talented guys. Mrs Smee zoomed in on my hubby from the start and relentlessly teased him throughout the show. Loved, loved, loved it!!! Thank you!

Honestly brilliant. Have never been to a pantomime I genuinely thought was funny. I find you mostly just laugh out of politeness as the humour is really for this kids but this was really clever. Had both me and the kids laughing. Hook and Smee were especially good, even when they forgot their lines their ad-libbing was hilarious. It’s the first pantomime I actually wouldn’t mind seeing again. Definitely recommend.

Medway St Car Park

Medway St, Maidstone ME14, UK

Good space and located ideally but can be refurbished to look modern and but pricey to be honest.

Popular car park, if you are lucky you can find a space. Well located for the high street. Undulating road surface, park all night for £2 after 6.30pm.
